Going For a Walk

After a long day of editing articles for movmnt, I came home and was feeling rather depleted and depressed.  Rather than sit at home and take stock of my qualms with life at the moment, I decided to grab my camera and explore the East Village.

When I first purchased my Canon 30D roughly eight months ago, I never would have imagined it being as therapeutic as it has been.  Even though I was a walking cliche, snapping photos of street corners while the new Death Cab album blasted in my headphones, I still found the act very soothing.

(A perfect example of why NOT to take pictures while you are on the phone.  I set up the shot I wanted but neglected to focus correctly.  BLURG.  Might as well leave it sideways since it's jacked up already.   I kind of like it as is.)

(One reason I love my new lens?  I can finally take clearer pictures at night.)

(I got obsessed with taking pictures of a bride figurine behind a gate.  Needless to say, the throngs of passerbys thought I was crazy.)

(Let's call her Ramona.  She's getting married tomorrow.)

Miriam! I am finally getting into the new album. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE "Plans," so I have had a bit of a difficult time adjusting to this new one. But I love his voice and lyrics so much that, of course, I'm enjoying the new one.

Are you as obsessed with Robyn as I am? Swedish pop has never sounded soooo delicious.
